Supporting the next generation of Lafayette.

Diversity. Community. Achievement.

Alicia Sanchez International Elementary School located in Lafayette, Colorado, earned the 2022 Governor’s Bright Spot Award (awarded to 21 schools across the state that demonstrated strong growth in student achievement during the pandemic), and Assistant Principal Becky McKay is the 2021 Colorado Assistant Principal of the Year.

Sanchez, a Title I school, has been making impressive gains in student achievement despite challenges including:

  • 68% free or reduced lunch rate

  • 19.7% population of students who require special education,

  • 35.2% student population of English language learners.

The Sanchez PTA raises money for snacks, classroom materials, and field trips so that state and federal education funds can be used to support students’ academic and social-emotional needs.

Sanchez is a Title I school in an economically disadvantaged neighborhood, and many Sanchez families can’t afford to contribute financially to the PTA.

Therefore, students, teachers, and staff rely on generous donations from donors like yours.

Teachers are often tasked with providing their own supplies. Your support can help keep our hardworking teachers stocked up with essential classroom and learning supplies.

$50 - Student & Staff Activities

The PTA funds numerous student activities and community events throughout the year including Scripps Spelling Bee, Battle of the Books, field trips to the state capitol and keeping our staff nourished during conferences.

$75 - Gym & Rec Supplies

Our students study and play HARD. Your support ensures they have safe, up-to-date equipment for recreation, learning and after school activities.

$100 - Needs-Based Support

Help our students and families with essential items including books, class photos, clothing, winter coats and shoes.

$500+ - Family Support

Some of our school families could use extra support outside of the school day. We strive to help families in need with extra support like this.
